On Saturday 8th November 2014 Victoria Prentis was selected as the new Parliamentary Candidate for North Oxfordshire. The decision was taken at a meeting of local members that was held at The Warriner School in Bloxham.

“I am thrilled to have been selected to be the Conservative Parliamentary Candidate for North Oxfordshire. It is always an honour to be selected as a Parliamentary Candidate, but even more so in the area where I have lived my entire life. Sir Tony will be a very hard act to follow, but I’m looking forward to getting stuck into the campaign, and meeting the wider electorate.”

Victoria has stated that her three top priorities are:

  • Planning – Victoria will support Cherwell District Council in delivering sustainable development in appropriate locations. The ‘plan’ needs to be put back in planning and the correct infrastructure must be delivered to meet local needs.
  • Healthcare – Victoria has made an unwavering commitment to protecting and promoting the essential services provided by the Horton General Hospital; and will fight for additional support to be provided to Bicester Community Hospital.
  • Older People – Victoria believes support and care for older people in our community must be delivered with compassion. She is campaigning for extra provision of specialist care for those suffering from dementia and age-related conditions.
