I was delighted to watch Banbury FC welcome League Two opponents Barrow AFC in the FA Cup First Round at the Banbury Plant Hire Community Stadium. It was wonderful to see so many supporters turn out to cheer on the team. Despite the Puritans losing 4-0, they showed great spirit throughout.
The match was particularly special because ITV4 broadcast the game live. As a result, the club will receive approximately £50,000 in broadcasting fees. I know that this extra money will go a long way in developing the club further and supporting the wider community.
