I know how hard local businesses have been hit by the return to national restrictions. From the emails and conversations I have had with constituents, I know many are keen to access the financial support available to them in the face of closures and extraordinary challenges.
Cherwell District Council is currently taking applications for the Local Restrictions Support Grant and Additional Restrictions Grant (Discretionary Scheme). These grants provide welcome support to businesses which have closed or have been affected by local restrictions in December and the current national lockdown. I would encourage all affected local businesses to look into these grants and apply before the deadline. I understand that the Council will also be updating the above page with information about the one-off Closed Business Lockdown Payment.
