Funding of £18.8 million for M40 roundabout improvements approved

A funding agreement to improve Junction 10 of the M40 roundabout has been signed between Oxfordshire County Council and Highways England. OCC have allocated £18.8 million of its Oxfordshire Housing and Growth Deal funding to improve the existing roundabouts at the Upper Heyford development site in North Oxfordshire.

The proposals are to enlarge the Baynards Green roundabout, while other associated works will increase the capacity of the Padbury roundabout. Highways England is planning to complete the design by August 2022 and start construction by November 2022.

It’s great to see investment being made to improve infrastructure in North Oxfordshire. The proposed project will boost the highway network capacity, improve road safety, reduce journey times, and reduce congestion.

Dissolution Update
