Following news that Great Lakes UK Ltd has submitted an appeal to Cherwell District Council's decision to refuse planning permission for Great Wolf Lodge in Chesterton, I have written to the Planning Inspector to share my concerns about the proposed development.
In my letter, I make it clear that the fundamental shape of the proposals has not changed. Chesterton is an historic village in a rural location. The development would be a significant intrusion on the beautiful countryside. The arguments made by Great Lakes UK Ltd in their appeal document does little to allay my concerns or those of my constituents.
I will continue to follow the issue closely.
