I am pleased Parliament has passed legislation to ensure that hundreds of postmasters affected by the Post Office Horizon IT scandal will have their convictions quashed. This marks a significant step in rectifying one of the biggest miscarriages of justice in British history. These individuals will soon have their records updated and be given a pathway to their rightful compensation.
My office and I have been in touch with constituents affected by this scandal for some time now. I am pleased that the Government has secured justice for the victims once and for all.
