It was fantastic to see so many students earlier today who were keen to catch a glimpse of a typical day in the life of a MP. The morning began with a Q & A where I got to catch up with the students, speak about their current and future plans, as well as answer any questions they had.
The students were then taken through a number of activities by members of my team. First was a casework workshop where the students got a flavour of the types of queries constituents had and how we would go about supporting them. Following this, the students split into groups and prepared for a debate activity on local issues.
The feedback from the session has been overwhelmingly positive and I’m glad the students found it a great learning experience.
