On Small Business Saturday, I want to thank all our small businesses for their tireless work over the past year.
We have so many fantastic independent businesses in North Oxfordshire. Ahead of Small Business Saturday, I visited several shops in Deddington to show my support. These included Nellie & Dove, The Flower Shop and Eagles Fine Food. I also particularly enjoyed a recent visit to The Bakery by Knife and Fork, who produce 100% gluten free bread, cakes and granola.
I know how tough the past year has been for our independent traders. They have faced many challenges and hurdles, but have shown incredible resilience by adapting their operations. It has been brilliant to see foot traffic increase again on our high streets with the return to some normality.
I really do hope everyone will continue to show their support by shopping locally this Christmas.
