We know the serious impact that persistent anti-social behaviour can have on both individuals and the wider community. That is why the Prime Minister is taking robust action to make sure this issue is treated with the urgency it deserves.
Those who engage in anti-social behaviour will face swift and visible justice, increased fines and enhanced drug testing as part of the Government’s new action plan. This new zero-tolerance approach will give the police and local authorities the tools they need to tackle the problem.
This announcement coincides with Cherwell District Council and Thames Valley Police’s joint consultation, seeking the views of local residents on anti-social behaviour in Banbury. The consultation has also been opened to allow members of the public to have their say on proposals for a new Public Spaces Protection Order for the town.
I would urge all constituents to have their say by April 14 to ensure that their voices are heard. Click here to complete it.
