SEND

Last week, I met representatives from Oxfordshire County Council, including Chief Executive Martin Reeves, at County Hall alongside fellow Oxfordshire MP, Robert Courts.

We had a productive discussion about OCC’s response to the recently published Ofsted and the Care Quality Commission report into the Oxfordshire Local Area Partnership’s Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) provision.

Martin gave me his assurances that SEND is his number one focus. OCC have developed important proposals to reform the system, and I look forward to seeing them in final when they are presented as part of the priority action plan required by Ofsted.

Dissolution Update

At midnight tonight, Parliament will be dissolved. From that point, there will no longer be any MPs until after the General Election which will take place on 4 July. While Parliament may not be sitting, my office can deal with urgent casework enquiries only via the usual channels.
