It was great to join the Chancellor in Bicester on Friday to break ground on a new state-of-the-art facility for Siemens Healthineers. The site on the side of the A41 was chosen by Siemens following a global search for a new headquarters for the production of superconducting magnets used in their life-saving MRI technology.
Once constructed, the facility will support over 1,300 jobs, representing a £250 million investment into our local economy. This is exactly the right kind of development we need locally. Building here is a vote of confidence in our economy and demonstrates that North Oxfordshire remains at the top of the list of destinations for companies to invest.
