I welcome the Prime Minister's apology regarding the infected blood scandal. It is a significant acknowledgment of the decades-long moral failure that has devastated countless lives. The commitment to providing comprehensive compensation is a crucial step towards addressing the immense suffering and injustice endured by so many individuals and families.
As an MP, I've spoken to constituents who have been affected by this tragedy, either directly themselves or because a parent, sibling or child has been affected. The implications of this scandal are far-reaching. It is important that we continue to prioritise accountability, transparency, and support for all those affected. I am pleased that the Government has pledged to compensate those impacted and further measures are to be taken
