I continue to be contacted by many constituents who are concerned about the volume of proposed developments currently being considered around Banbury, Bicester and the surrounding villages.

London Road Level Crossing

Barrier down time at the London Road level crossing has long been a cause of concern in Bicester. This is expected to get worse as East West Rail is completed and an increased number of services operate through Bicester.

HS2

October 2023:

Many of my constituents will know my views on HS2. I campaigned against the project before I was elected in 2015, and voted against it when I had the opportunity to in the House. I have long felt that it is too costly of a project with an environmental impact too large. 

Great Wolf Lodge

In November 2019, Great Lakes UK Ltd submitted a planning application to build a new leisure resort in Chesterton, Bicester.

Finmere Landfill Facility

I have been contacted about ongoing issues with unpleasant odours originating from the Finmere Landfill Facility and have been liaising regularly with the operator, Environment Agency and Oxfordshire County Council about the odour and subsequent enforcement action.

Jacob Douwe Egberts

In September 2020, a large number of constituents from the villages and communities surrounding Heyford Park got in touch to raise their concerns over the increasing traffic pressures coming as a result of Heyford Park. 

Bloxham Petrol Station

In August 2020, Bloxham Parish Council were in touch to highlight the anti social behaviour that had been taking place at Bloxham Petrol Station under the watch of owners, Motor Fuel Group (MFG).
